FAMILY!!!!!!!!!

Hey everyone!!

Okay so I am currently in Dallas Texas with my family. Well my Aunt Uncle and cousins!!! I am here for Christmas and New Years! And I am having the time of my life! My Aunt and Uncle are so amazing to let me come to there house and stay with them for a little bit. I am so blessed I love them so much.

When I first arrived yesterday evening my cousin and uncle were waiting for me. It was so fun driving with them. I hadn't seen my cousin in more than two years cause of his mission. It was great to see him.

Then when we got to the house I was able to see my Aunt who I haven't seen since July (along with my Uncle). It was so fun! I've really missed them. We spent the night watching hallmark and old family videos of my cousins Amanda and Brittany. It was so funny. There were a few clips of our trip to Idaho to visit Grandma Joy and Grandpa Max. It was so great to relive those memories haha.

Then this morning we had my cousin Karrisa; her son Roaran came over and currently is napping. He is the cutest little boy ever!!!! He was running around earlier playing the jingle bells hallmark snowman and was dancing along with it. Funny stuff!!! But after about the millionth time it had to stop hahaha so of course he found other things to play with. It was so cute for a little bit he ran around point at the pictures and saying their name. He at one point he ran to a picture and went "Ga-ge" and point to a picture of Jesus Christ. My heart was so touched when I saw that. Someone so young who recognizes the savior of the world. It truly touched me. It so far has been so great with my family. My aunt had some of the young women over tonight for a christmas party and it has just been so wonderful seeing my family. I'm so excited to see the rest of my cousins soon and to spend christmas and new years with them. It is going to be a lot fun. Well I must go; I most defiantly will keep everyone up to date. Why are most celebrities so stupid!!!?

I'm sorry I just have to blog about this. If you haven't heard there is a video going around of Miley Cyrus smoking a bong. HOW STUPID IS THAT GIRL!!! Yeah she just turned 18 ... so what. She has little 10 12 year old girls that look up to her and idolize everything she does. She should be setting a good example but no instead she is making out with other girls and smoking bongs. Next thing you know she is going to be in jail sharing a cell with Lohan. It is so sad this world is defiantly going to hell. People who have the power to change the world for good should do so and not make fools out of themselves.

Miley has such a huge fan base she should be encouraging her fans to do the right thing.. become better people. That is what this world needs not another pot head. We have plenty of those. We need people who are going to use their fame to do good. Be good people. Set good examples for everyone. Some people say it is up to the parents to do that well it is but you would be so surprised on how much effect certain celebrity decisions make on teenagers and everyone. It makes me so sad to see people who have that power just sit on their butts and do nothing and only satisfy themselves. They need to be helping people. If every person just helped someone the world would be in such a better place. Yeah it seems impossible ... but look at our american history. So many things that have been done seemed so impossible .... landing on the moon... building a space craft that could land on the moon.... modern day medicine the list goes on and on. We as a free people should be doing everything that we humanly can to make this world a better place. Not just by going green but treating everyone with the same respect you would want. No matter who you are where you come from or what you look like. We are all the same on the inside. We all have feelings we all need to be helped and more importantly in one way or another we all have the power to help someone else and change things for the good!

Hey everyone!! So for those of you who have heard you are about to hear it again; but for those who haven't; President Monson today announced that there will be a temple built in Hartford Connecticut. Real quickly can I say I am SOOO EXCITED!!!! I feel so blessed right now. Just yesterday I was talking to my roommate Shanna about if there was a temple in Connecticut I want to be married in it. The saints of Connecticut are so ready to have a temple there. I feel so blessed to have a temple in my home state. So many of us have to drive at the most 2 hours to either the temple in Boston or New York City. I know we have it better than some people all over the world; who have to travel for days to get to the nearest temple. But this means a lot to us there. I was talking with my mom earlier and even over the phone I could tell the excitement and happiness in her voice. This is such a huge blessing in so many people's lives. I am so so so excited. Honestly I do truly hope it will be built and dedicated in time so that I can be married in it. I really want to be married in my home state so bad and having a temple in Connecticut such a blessing.

Okay enough about that; hmm things that have been going on in my life. Well if you haven't already noticed there are no commas in this blog because my comma key on my laptop is currently out of order. A few days ago it has stopped working; I have no idea why. I have not dropped my computer or anything like that and have taken the best care I can. And this is the cherry on top my warranty just ended in August. So I pretty much am screwed. Any computer guru's out there; if you know of any way to solve this problem please please PLEASE help.

Other than that school is going well. Defiantly hard. But I am loving it. My classes are going good. I am learning more and more Russian each day and getting better and better at it. I can now read most Russian and write a little and speak some phrases. I am really proud of myself that I have been able to learn this language so quickly. Defiantly the gift of tongues. I also am learning a lot from my other classes too. My Natural Disasters class I find so interesting I would love to learn more about it or minor in it but too many numbers haha. I also love my intro the Visual Arts class. I am taking this class for my major. I love it I am learning a lot.

Also I found another place to live during spring semester. I love living where I am now; but it is time for me to spread my wings sort of speak haha. I just really want to meet new people. And I will be rooming with a good friend of mine Caroline. I am really excited. Spring semester is going to be so fun. Now I just need to find a place to stay in the winter. Almost all the places here in Rexburg are full so I really need to figure out what I'm going to do. But I know the Lord will help me and provide a way as long as I keep following the commandments and following the Lord.

FHE!!

Hey everyone! So today was our first official FHE group meeting/ activity. It was a complete success. My FHE group is very active and outgoing. I am excited. This semester is going to be a lot of fun with them. We have some great ideas planned.

Okay now to greater news. So my Russian teacher is in the process of getting a trip to Russia approved through BYU-I. If it is approved I am going to Russia next summer. It is not set in stone yet. But if it is approved this time next year I will have taken my first trip out of the country. I am so excited I really want to go. I can't really explain it but I just really feel like I need to go to Russia this is so weird but I love it haha. Well that is all for now. xoxo

The Biggest Scam in the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey everyone okay so if you haven't heard BYU-I has been having trouble with the financial aid office and students receiving financial aid. Well I have been one of the poor unfortunate souls that have had to wait longer and longer for financial aid. Well today I looked online and found out that I had received financial aid. I was so excited I had finally gotten financial aid I was going to be able to pay off school expenses and go grocery shopping. Well I fell off cloud nine so fast that I hit the core of the earth. Turns out I only received a Stafford subsidized loan and unsubsidized loans, totaling to an amount that for two semesters will only pay for my tuition and housing. I have no money to pay of books now or to buy groceries. Also I had received a parent loan for almost 4,000 dollars. Turns out Parent loans are the BIGGEST SCAMS EVER!!!!!! You get the money but your parents have to pay off the loan 60 days after the student receives the loan and interest starts accumulating as soon as the student gets the loan or accepts it. Now for those of you who know my parents you know that is not going to happen and I don't want my parents to have to go through that. So right now I only have money to pay my tuition and housing. So I'm going to my financial aid office tomorrow to talk to advisor to see if there are any other available awards. This is the most ridiculous thing ever. I am so fed up with BYU-I right now. Okay well the administration and financial aid office. I love the school don't get me wrong but come on.

I feel horrible right now for my roommates especially Tiffany bless her heart. They have been so understanding with all the situations and trials I have been going through. I really don't know what I would have done with out them. I am so thankful for having them. I can honestly say if it were not for the them and my roommates spring semester I would not be where I am now. I truly am thankful for everything I have been put through I have grown so much spiritually and as a person and as a daughter of God. I would not have changes anything for the world and I am grateful. I know some of you are probably thinking "get over yourself other people in the world have it worse than you" and this is true but things have been hard. But they have been great too.

So now that I am done ranting and venting my life has been pretty good. I received a calling today in church which I am really excited for I will mention when I have officially been sustained and everything but yeah I am really excited. This semester looks so good for me right now. Many great things are in store for me and I could not be happier. I am starting my major this semester and taking some pretty awesome classes. My major is Inter-graded Studio Art emphasizing in photography. I find it amazing even though I have been beaten down and so many horrible things have happened to me I can still have the best life ever. Things are going to be okay. Even though I always need constant reminding of that, but it is so true. If I just remain faithful and endure to the end everything is going to be okay. I feel so blessed and grateful right now. I really could not be happier and I really would not be here if it were not for my friends and family. They have been a rock for me my whole life I know I don't say it enough but I am truly grateful for my parents and all that they do and sacrifice for me and I love them with all my heart.

Quickie update

Okay so still have no idea why i'm doing this but anyways just thought i should let everyone know im not dead and am alive haha. just strutting my stuff up here at BYU-I and loving it. my classes are going well. i am taking a russian 1o1 class and love it. im thinking about going to russia next summer with my school but i have no idea yet. that really is pretty much my life right now school school oh did i mention school =D . oh my cousin derek comes home tomorrow from serving a mission for our church in peurto rico so excited i cant wait to talk to him. well that is it for now xoxo
